The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the notification for the National Defence Academy (NDA) & Naval Academy (NA) Examination (II), and Combined Defence Services (CDS) Examination (II). Interested candidates can apply through the official website of UPSC: upsc.gov.in.
Exam Date: The written examinations for NDA/NA II and CDS II will be conducted on 14th September 2025.
Eligibility: Only unmarried male and female candidates are eligible to apply.
Educational Qualification:
- National Defence Academy (NDA): 12th pass from a recognized board/institution.
- For Air Force and Naval Wings: 12th pass with Physics and Mathematics.
- Combined Defence Services (CDS) II: Graduation/Engineering degree from a recognized university/institution.
Age Limit: Candidates must be born not earlier than 1st January 2007 and not later than 1st January 2010.
Application Fee:
- UPSC CDS-II: ₹200
- UPSC NDA-II: ₹100
- SC/ST/Female candidates: No fee

- Lieutenant: ₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500 per month
- Captain: ₹61,300 – ₹1,93,900 per month

- Lieutenant Colonel: ₹1,21,200 – ₹2,12,400 per month
- Colonel: ₹1,30,600 – ₹2,15,900 per month
- Brigadier: ₹1,39,600 – ₹2,17,600 per month
- Major General: ₹1,44,200 – ₹2,18,200 per month
- Lt. General (HAG Scale): ₹1,82,200 – ₹2,24,100 per month
- HAG+ Scale: ₹2,05,400 – ₹2,24,400 per month
- VCOAS/Army Cdr/Lt. Gen (NFSG): ₹2,25,000 (fixed)
- COAS: ₹2,50,000 (fixed)
Exam Pattern:
- All papers will contain objective-type (MCQ) questions.
- General Knowledge and Elementary Mathematics papers will be available in both English and Hindi.
- 1/3 negative marking for each wrong answer.
- Duration of each paper: 2 hours
